Slant Markers

Slant Markers

Granite slant markers provide an alternative to both upright memorials and flat markers for cemetery monuments. Also called pillow markers, slant markers sit at an angled position that is between fully upright and flush with the ground.

Slant markers provide more visibility than a flat marker without being as prominently displayed as an upright memorial. The granite is cut so that one side leans against the ground while the other faces upward at an angle.

The angled design of slant markers makes the inscription and details partially visible from both a further distance like an upright memorial as well as directly up close like a flat marker. They strike a balance between the prominent visibility and discreet simplicity of the two traditional styles.

Often smaller in size than upright memorials, slant markers utilize space efficiently while still prominently displaying engraving. Their angled position adds visual interest to a cemetery landscape compared to the uniform rows of flat markers.

Whether an upright, flat, or slant granite marker is preferred, each offers families a way to permanently honor a loved one with a high-quality memorial that will withstand the test of time.
